A Night with Adele In Munich

In August 2024 we went to see Adele in Munich! The most amazing experience i've ever had!

Our Stay was for 2 nights and We flew with Ryan Air from Stansted airport to Frankfurt Hahn.

We stayed at 2 hotels. First was B&B Hotels Frankfurt Hahn Airport this was booked with Booking.com - The second was B&B Hotels Messe Munchen this was booked through the B&B hotels website direct.

Our ratings:

Hotels? 7/10

Would I go back to Munich? Yes i would, but only if i can get a direct flight. The travel was a lot. So unless there was a reason again i probably wouldn't

Would we stay at Those hotels again? Yes most probably, they were really easy and cheap.

Things we did? 100000/10 I mean, we saw ADELE!!!

Hotel:

The first hotel was so good. We had a late flight so we could go after work and then travel to Munich in the morning rather than having to do it all in one day. When i booked it, it said it was close to the airport but it was actually insane how close it really was. You walk out of the exit to the airport and its opposite (photo below).

The rooms are a good size, not huge but great to just put your head down. Towels, Shower gels etc, all provided for you.

When checking in you use a self scanner which is super easy too! This then gives you a code to your room which you use to get in.

The second hotel was the same company so we knew what we were expecting. Again the room was fine, plenty of room for 2 of us to get ready to go and then put our heads down after.

This was around a 40 minute walk to Messe Munchen (the adele arena). But they had free buses running that took you most of the way. This was from a stop just around the corner from the hotel.

The only issue with this hotel was the staff. They were quite rude, we wanted a couple of drinks to get us started while getting ready but the guy was so rude we ended up just leaving it. Also one of the cleaners came in our room at 8am when we were still sleeping. Apparently this is what they do to see if you've left so they can come in. I would say make sure you put the do not disturb sign on the door to stop this!

All in all for the price we paid, you really couldn't complain about the hotels.

Travel:

We took the 20:45 flight from Stansted to Frankfurt Hahn on the Thursday Night, this was booked with Ryanair.

On the Friday morning we got a Flibco Bus from the Airport to Frankfurt Centre, this was booked on the Flibco Website (link). It took around 2 hours. Obviously had to get a quick maccies breakfast for fuel!

We then got the train from Frankfurt Centre to Munich, this was booked on the DB trains Website (Link). It took around 4 hours.

We then got the overground to the stop near our hotel. We purchased the ticket for this in the station, was only around 3euros each. This took about 15 minutes.

then we just walked to the hotel which was around 10 mins away.

On the Saturday we then had to do the whole thing again back....

Things we did:

When we arrived in Munich we took a walk to Munich Cathedral. We never actually made it because our bags were so heavy, but we did find a cute restaurant/bar instead called Rischart! The drinks were lovely and quite reasonably priced being in the centre. .

On the Saturday, we also went for lunch just outside the train station in Munich to Cadoro. Food was lovely, the place was so pretty and again it was fairly reasonably prices.

MAIN EVENT:

ADELE BABY!!!!!!

Honestly she was AMAZING! Best concert i've ever been to. If you ever get the chance to go, 100% it's worth it!

She did Adele world which was so much fun. Small shows going on all afternoon, drinks, places to take photos, food stalls, rides, just so much to do.

When we arrived we got the standard Photos (obviously) then headed to get food and drinks. With the drinks you had to pay a deposit for the cups, but we did keep 1 each! You get it back when you return them.

There were so many different food vendors but we weren't too hungry so just opted for loaded fries.

We walked to our seats and were just purely amazed by the size of the whole arena. I've never seen anything like it.

I cried like a baby throughout and just had the most amazing time. Singing my heart out, dancing and just enjoying myself. If i could do it all again, 100% i would!

After the show, Adele world was still open so you could keep drinking, they did karaoke and had a band playing in one of the bars which were great! We didn't leave until around midnight.

Other things you could do in Munich:

  • Actually visit Munich Cathedral. We tried but just couldn't make it with heavy bags.

  • Shopping - where we were, there were so many shops. It was great, like a whole high street. Food drinks and shopping, great day spent!

  • Head into old town

Summery:

I love Germany, so had the best time. Even if it was only for a couple of days. I would definitely go back to Munich as i would love to explore more, its just a little tricky to get there for me.

It was amazing travelling for a concert, it made it so much more special in my opinion. I'm not sure if it was just because it was Adele or just the whole thing in general, but it was all just so exciting.

We were lucky everything went pretty smooth, it made it so much easier. Everything seemed so easy to figure out.

If there is anything you would recommend to do in Munich add it in the comments below. Along with your experiences, i'd love to hear them :)

Thanks for Reading <3
